Do earwigs crawl in your ears or not...?

I'm so grossed out by earwigs, and there seems to be an earwig nest in my room and I'm pretty sure its from behind my bed. I know , it's so gross, and they're actually crawling on my walls too. I was going into my room and there was an earwig on my pillow and so i smashed it and then lifted up my other pillow and there was another ear wig! I was soo scared that night because I thought the "ear" wig would crawl in my ear maybe when I was asleep.... after all they were on my pillow! So I've heard yes they do and I've heard no the don't, which one?? I'm utterly confused! And hate bugs.
