Brown recluse spider in my house?

OK i saw a spider on my curtain and tried smashing it but i lost it, so i looked up what it could be and i think its a brown recluse. How can i kill it? I looked up if it was poisonous and it showed picture of a guy with his flesh half eaten off his leg so don't tell me to hit it with a shoe or anything
