Help! How to become a blues/rock singer 10 points!?

You have to be a strong woman. Stefani Germanotta (pre-Lady Gaga) performed some really good songs at bars and such with accompaniment, she even covered D'yer Ma'ker by Led Zep. Just have the strength to turn down large business producers 'cause you know where that leads. I think "Gaga" would have some real music under her belt instead of her pop crap if she'd just stayed true to herself.
