How long until I can stop cleaning my tongue web piercing after everything I eat?

My friend has her tongue web pierced, has for about one month. How long until she can stop gargling with water or nonalcoholic mouthwash after everythig she eats, smokes, etc. Also, how long until she can drink again, alcoholic beverages that is. Thanks!
