Listerine mouthwash question?

i use the original Listerine and lately when i spit it out i see some particles...is that normal? you know how the Listerine Smart Rinse when you spit it out it shows a darker color which is the food/germ particles? yeah that's been happening with the original one with me. any suggestion/advise?
