Malaysia Airlines have cancelled flights to Beirut?

Maybe the airline decided that the route to Beirut was not making enough money so they dropped the city from their route system. Airlines are constantly monitoring the routes to see to make see what routes are making money and which ones are losing. The airlines will then either cut flights or drop service to cities that do not make money.
